| aluminum kit to replace this setup. I also have a great condition stock one if you need another. Its simple to replace. Here is what broke. See the rubber part with the large washer and a bolt running through it?
There is a metal sleeve that is set in the rubber. The rubber becomes brittle over time given its right above the exhaust and breaks loose from the rubber mount, dropping the shifter down. I put the washer on there to get me home from the race track and made the simple shifter kit thats on there now. It shifts like a dream now and will never have that issue again. Here is the new setup but before I purchased some heat reflective material the next day and actually sealed it off neatly instead of duct tape. SUV was messed up and had to drive the car so duct tape was all I had lol
I am working on another kit that has a much larger bracket that bolts to the old bolt holes that the factory shift mount sits on. The prototype is made of steel but the version for sale will be TIG welded aluminum and is already much nicer and a lot more complicated to make than this one piece design.
